Mobile Crane Operator Safety Training

Training Outline

• OSHA 1926.550, ASME B30.5 & B30.10 Regulations & Standards

• Crane Accidents

• Daily / Frequent Crane Inspections

• Mobile Crane Operating Safety

• Mobile Crane Set-up

• Mobile Crane Hand Signals

• Lift Capacity Chart Interpretation (crane specific to yours)

• Load Hook and Wire Rope Inspection

• Wire Rope Identification

• Written Test (crane specific to yours)

• Hands On Practical Operation (crane rodeo)

Class Length

• 1 TO 2 DAYS IN LENGTH

• 1-day class is approx. 8 hr. long, approximately 5 hr. in the classroom and the remainder of the day operating your mobile crane

• 2-day class, same outline only more in-depth on all subjects with more emphasis on load charts. Last day 4+ hr. of crane operation. (Note: All class sizes are restricted to no more than 10 people)

• Cost: P.O.R.
All students will receive a certificate of completion for the type crane/cranes addressed in class.
