thirty five years in the heavy equipment field of Mobile and
Overhead Cranes, from building to proto type testing, third
party inspections and certifications, Crane Inspection and
MSHA Training Instructor.

2002 –

In April of
2002 I started my own inspection company, specializing in
Mobile Crane, Overhead Crane, Third Party Safety
Inspections, Load Testing, Operator Safety Training, as per
OSHA, ANSI, MSHA, Cal OSHA, SAE standards, Accident
Investigation and Expert Witness Testimony. I am a CCO
Certified Crane Operator in all four classifications and CCO
Accredited Practicle Examiner.
1985 – 2002
Crane Surveyor / Instructor, DII
Phoenix, Arizona
Inspect and
certify Aerial Lifts, Mobile Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Tower
Cranes and Off-Shore Cranes, as per the OSHA, CAL-OSHA, API
and ANSI standards. Inspection procedures include a thorough
visual and operational inspection of all mechanical,
electrical, and hydraulic components, for wear and defective
parts including magnetic particle examination of critical
welds and hooks as per all related standards. Load testing
of cranes up to 125% of rated capacities as per the OSHA and
CAL-OSHA standards. Conduct the annual MSHA refresher course
for all company employees working in the mining industry,
and hold safety classes for customers requesting operator
safety training for mobile and overhead cranes.
1983 – 1985
Crane Surveyor / Consultant, Cholla Crane
Scottsdale, Arizona
Performed
Third Party Inspections on Mobile Cranes, Overhead Cranes
and Construction Elevators. Trained all new employees in
inspection techniques and procedure.
1967 – 1983
Crane Tester / Assembler American Hoist and Derrick
Bay City, Michigan
Assembled,
operated, load tested all types of production cranes
including, Diesel Electric Locomotive cranes, Hydraulic
Locomotive cranes, Crawler Conventional cranes, Truck
mounted cranes, Marine type Barge & Dock Gantry Revolver
Cranes, Anchor Hoists and Single and Multi-drum Waterfall
type hoists. Testing of these cranes and hoists included
operational, visual and load testing up to 110% of rated
capacities using loads up to 1000 tons as per OSHA, ANSI,
SAE and CAL-OSHA standards and company test procedures.
